PATRICK IS NOW DECLARED WINNER FOR THE FIRST EVER SEARCH FOR BROTHER CLARET ONLINE VOTING

July Patrick Layugan, or "Patoy" as he is fondly called by his friends was born in July 3, 1991. He comes from Purok 1, Dakutan, Esperanza, Agusan del Sur. The son of Hon. Antonio Layugan & Mrs. Rebecca Layugan.

He received 122,343 votes from friends, relatives, and Claretian communities. This will be 40% of the final total results of the search that will be held tonight at Rafael Briega Auditorium at 8:00 p.m. together with the dance showdown that the Art, Literary, Library Responsible Teams would sponsor.

He will also receive tonight the award for Best in Talent with an average score of 93.75 toping the two other brothers - Jervis and George.

A Day for the Sick

The candidates together with the whole community visited the Philippine Orthopedic Hospital located at Banawe Street in Quezon City as part of their formation program for this summer. The brothers were given a chance to sing, dance, talk, interact with the patients.

The community was later processed by the POH Chaplain, Fr. Arnold who is also a Claretian.

A true Brother Claret is someone who has the heart for the sick and the poor. He knows how to comfort others. He is a man of fire of Divine love that is visible wherever he may go.

GIOVANNI HAD WITHDRAWN FROM THE CONTEST

Giovanni had withdrawn from the competition last Sunday evening for some personal reasons.

Patrick is still leading with 8021 votes followed by George with 4898 votes and by Jervis with 4470 as of 9:12 am of May 19, 2008
